The classically hilarious Will Arnett appeared on the Today show this morning to talk about his upcoming projects, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and The Lego Batman Movie! After the immense box office success of 2014’s The Lego Movie, audiences begged for a spin-off film of the movie’s breakaway character, Lego Batman. Will Arnett could not be more excited about it:

“I feel like we tapped into something kind of fun on The Lego Movie with Batman. And for me, it was great because I was able to take a very iconic character and mess with everything we know about him.”

The Lego Movie provided audiences with a more upbeat and fun-loving version of Batman, but Will Arnett assured fans that The Lego Batman Movie will still be true to the character and dive into the age old question of why Batman is so depressed.

Matt Lauer, of the Today show, took the opportunity to ask if Will Arnett ever used the Batman voice at home with his kids. Arnett confessed to doing so, saying:

“I feel bad because it’s scary. They do have a cool dad.”
