Dark Knight News is the #1 Site For All Things Batman – The #1 News Site For All Things Batman. Comics, Merch, Movies, Video-games and More. If it’s Batman we cover it.

ABOUT US:

Matt Galvin – Owner

Matt is 28, lives in Los Angeles and is a freelance video editor, but his true passion is Batman.  The first movie he saw in theaters was “Batman 89” and ever since then he’s been obsessed with the Dark Knight. He’s followed Batman in all forms of media, throughout the years. “I love everything Batman. The comics, the films, the animated series and the amazing Arkham Asylum video game series. While I will always have a fondness for the Burton films, I prefer the Nolan Universe which I feel is the closest to the source material (well, besides the Tim-Verse :) ” If he was to ever get a tattoo, it would be Batman.  Matt@darkknightnews.com

Kristina Collins – Head Editor

Krissy is 22 yrs old and  lives in New York City.

“I’ve always been a Batman fan so I wear this beanie wool bullet worn Batman symbol everywhere I go.  I’m very interested in cinematography, story telling, film scoring, and just awesome memorable quotes which are the best things I love about movies. I think my earliest memory of Batman was Jack Nicholson’s laughter in the 1989 movie. After Nicholson saw his face in the mirror and just starting his maniacal laughter up the stairs, which if you were a 4 year old girl you would find it scary. I just found it more intriguing and I kept quoting his line ‘If you gotta go. Go with a Smile.’ Clearly, I’m a huge Joker fan. He’s the best villain a hero can have by far on as concept based villain for anarchy and chaos.”

”I think that is what draws me to Batman the most. The dark themes/elements and just cool graphic artwork. Recently, I just got into comic books reading them over and I’m just amazed at the universe itself. I’ve always found comic books with different authors rather confusing because one story might be published and the next one sometimes might be totally different from the first. It kinda frustrates me a bit. I’m still a fan no matter what.”

Ritchie V Sacheli – Head Graphics Artist

Born Aug. 4, 1986 in southern California. Grew up all over the the southwest corner of the state of Wisconsin. Returned to California in 06, joined the army in 07, and after breaking my back in 09 I returned to civilian life where I am now pursuing my degree in Graphic Design with an emphasis is digital animation.
I have created terrains and maps that were included in map packs dispersed by Novalogic for their Delta Force games (PC, FPS) before graduating from high school. Ultimately, I want to be the guy that was a part of creating that hit game or animated movie that you love. Most of my comic and animated background is in the Marvel Universe (I can hear the criticism already) but I did have a thing for the Flash when I was little. Ever since then I have always had a desire to go faster. I would run everywhere – joined track and cross country. Got my fist speeding ticket 4.5 months after getting my license and second 6 months later. Perhaps, that kid who loved the Flash is part of my essence.

Roy Ranous – Lead Editor
Roy has been a fan of Batman for over 21 years, and his affinity for the DC Universe only grows each day. Roy is a father, husband, college student (almost graduated!) and radio man, and his ultimate dream is to become a voice actor, thanks to the inspiration of “Batman: The Animated Series.”

When not writing for DKN or goofing off at the radio station, Roy enjoys spending time reading comic books with his 3-year-old son and teaching him why Batman is the greatest super hero of all time. He is working on making his body a tattooed tribute to the eternal struggle between Batman and his greatest foe, the Joker.

Chris Swedorske – Writer/News Staff

“Christopher is 18, and as of Spring 2013 is taking time off from college to work and pursue creative projects. He will be attending school again in the fall as a sophomore, and plans on working towards a major in English and a minor in Film Studies. He remembers watching episodes of Batman: The Animated Series when he was very young, along with being exposed to the Adam West series. However, he only became a serious fan after watching Batman Begins for the first time, and has since been a huge fan of the Nolan trilogy, as well as enjoying the works of Bruce Timm and Tim Burton. He is an avid reader of graphic novels and his favorite writers are Scott Snyder, Frank Miller, and Jeph Loeb.”

I’ll be 23 on the 31st, I’ve been watching Batman since I was 5 years old, and I’ve been reading Batman comics since I was 10 years old. I’m graduating from college in a week. See I’m not sure what I should even tell you cause all of it’s changing pretty soon. I guess there’s not terribly much to put for my bio. I’m a man of Mystery. -Andrew Lococo

Adam P- Writer/News Staff

Adam P is 23 and lives in Miami. Though he never actually grew up with Batman, he has compensated for that lost childhood by immersing himself in as much Batman that he could find over the past few years. He is most well-versed in the DC Animated Universe, otherwise known as the Timmverse, and the DC animated direct-to-DVD features. Having never been the most enthusiastic comic book reader, he has made up for it with extensive research into Batman’s history, becoming the Batman guru and historian amongst his circle of friends. Adam is also passionate about movies and has written previously for two blog-styled pop culture websites, as movie news writer and movie critic. In his downtime, Adam enjoys co-hosting a comedy podcast and producing sketches under the banner Dropping Loads Productions.

Sidney Eubanks – Background and Logo

Hello all! My name is Sidney Eubanks. I am the graphic artist for darkknightnews.com. I have been studying, learning, and building on my skills as a graphic artist for 4 years and have loved every minute of it. The majority of my work has been freelance, and joining on to  DKN has been an amazing experience thus far. My greatest artistic influences are Salvador Dali, Tim Burton, and Banksy. I love Surrealism and Minimalism. I have been a HUGE fan of Batman since I was a young boy. I remember how much I loved watching the original Batman series, then later the cartoons, and even now having been able to build on those memories through the most recent films. If you ever have any questions or just want to talk feel free to shoot me an email. Have a great day! -Sidney

Born in 1984 and I am from Malta (Europe).

“My interests apart from Batman vary a lot. Yet, Philosophy, Aesthetics and Music occupy a huge chunk of my time. I am also a musician for some local bands and have participated in quite a number of projects. I always look for honesty and the individual in art because I believe that everyone has something to say in one’s own voice. This leads me to be very passionate about anything that matters.”
